About the artist

At a very young age, I was introduced to beadwork. It became an obsession for years, but as many childhood hobbies do, it eventually tapered off. Somewhere in my adolescence I got back into it, and when I was 16 I started braiding wire - picked up the technique of braiding more than three strands together via the SCA. For a while I made head circlets exclusively, but around 2003 I made my first choker (pictured on the home page). The rest is history!

As for the jewelry/sculpture/etc: I use sterling silver wire for most of my work, and most of the semi-precious stones I use are beads, cabochons or pendulums. I also use copper wire, and have used gold-filled and 14K gold for various past commissions. For those with metal allergies, I have also worked with niobium and titanium, and would be happy to work with stainless steel.
